I love exploring new cities, and wandering around the old street of an unknown town captivates me even more than discovering the popular landmarks attracting hordes of tourists. The old streets are also a great opportunity to strike some great photographs – the narrow streets, the colourful houses, the flowers in the window, reminding that some people live their day-to-day life in the strange town, and of course, the beautiful light.
From old Sighisoara in Romania, to Sitges in Spain, from Passau in Germany to Jaffa in Israel, old street photographs recreate not only simple journeys in strange towns, but also the atmosphere and the sensations you had when discovering them for the first time.
