This travel photo of the day introduces us to Varanasi, India. Situated on the River Gange banks, Varanasi is probably the oldest city and one of seven holy places in India. Varanasi is also the most sacred pilgrimage place for the Hindus. They believe that coming in Varanasi and bathing in the Ganges is a purifying act, ensuring the release of the soul from the cycle of transmigrations.
